Offutt Base Lake

Located just east of Offutt Air Force Base, the Offutt Base Lake Recreation Area includes a 113-acre lake surrounded by a 70-acre park. This year-round destination offers a variety of outdoor activities including camping, fishing, boating, archery, and more. The brand-new Eagles Landing facility serves as a modern indoor event space with a kitchen and deck area, ideal for family gatherings, squadron events, and group celebrations. Access to the Base Lake is limited to those with a valid DoD ID.
Note: Swimming is not permitted due to underwater hazards.
FAMCAMP Camping
FAMCAMP sites are available for $40 per night with full hook ups. Each site has its own sewer, water, and electric.
Reservations are accepted up to 30 days in advance with a $40 nonrefundable fee. Make your reservation at Eagles Landing or call 402-294-2108.
- Sites 1-10 are 30 amp, designed for smaller travel trailers
- Sites 11-40 are 30/50 amp, for larger trailers and coaches
- Sites 41-46 are dry camping sites with no services for $20 per night
- Tent camping is available in designated areas for $12 per night
Pets must be on a leash.
No public dumping or draining of black tanks.

The Customer Service area is open for the 2026 season. Swing by and get everything you need for a day at the Offutt Base Lake: fishing essentials, bait, resale items, rentals, ice cream, slushies, sodas, snacks, and MORE!
Host your next gathering in a scenic, relaxed setting at Offutt Base Lake. We offer flexible rental options for family, group, and squadron events year-round.
Choose from four outdoor picnic shelters, available to rent up to 6 months in advance, or host your event indoors at Eagles Landing – our brand-new facility featuring modern amenities, a kitchen, and deck area, ideal for celebrations, meetings, or special occasions. Eagles Landing reservations can be made up to 1 year in advance.
All rentals are available to anyone with a valid DoD ID.
Fishing
The lake is stocked with a variety of fish: bluegill, crappie, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, catfish, freshwater drum, walleye, wiper, carp, gar, and red ear sunfish.
A State of Nebraska fishing permit & a Base Lake fishing license are required. The age requirement is 16+ for both permits. Buy permits & licenses at Outdoor Rec in Bldg 362.
The Base Lake permit is $6 for an annual pass that runs for a calendar year (January – December).
There are multiple options & prices for the State of NE license. You can find a chart on the Nebraska Game & Parks website.
Boating
Canoes & kayaks are allowed. All occupants must wear a life jacket.
Rentals available at Eagles Landing: canoes, kayaks, pontoons, fishing boats, ultraskiffs & pedal boats. Life jackets are included in any boat rental.
NO motorized boats or stand up paddle boards.
Archery
The archery target area requires a pass & signed agreement to access. Single Day, Season, and Family pricing available. Buy Archery passes at Outdoor Rec in Bldg 362.
