Ice Skating at Mahoney State Park - view flyer
Hit the ice with Outdoor Recreation February 15, leaving from the Base Lake Pavilion at 1 p.m. and returning about 6:30 p.m. Just $10 covers transportation, skate rental, rink fee, and permit to enter the park! Register by February 9.
Adult Learn to Swim Classes - view flyer
Outdoor Recreation is offering adult learn-to-swim and stroke improvement classes at the Indoor Fitness Pool. The swimming program is a positive, fun-filled opportunity to learn skills that will provide lifelong aquatic enjoyment.
Begin to Swim - Learn to feel comfortable in the water and to enjoy it safely. Skills will include floating, gliding, rhythmic breathing and true locomotion. After successful completion of this class, you will qualify as a swimmer.
Stroke Development - Learn new stroke techniques or refine your skills, this class is the perfect place to improve your swimming.
Both classes will run
February 15 - March 8. Cost: $20 for 5 lessons (40 minutes each). The minimum age is 18; pre-register at Equipment Rental. |
Boathouse Closed for Winter
The CAST-A-WAYS Boathouse is closed for the winter season. It will reopen May 1, 2009.
Paintball at the Base Lake
The Base Lake paintball course is open every Saturday from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., for just $20, which includes marker, safety gear, CO2, and 500 rounds of paint. To schedule a group for team-building sessions, call Outdoor Rec at 294-2108.
Horse Stables at the Base Lake - view flyer
Take advantage of our horse stalls with outside runs, automatic water, indoor and outdoor riding arenas, round pen, hay, tack, and grain storage. Cost: $100 per month per horse. Includes two bundles of bedding! Call 294-0672 for more information.
