School Age Program  (SAP)
The School Age Program, hosted by Youth Programs, is a before and after school service geared toward youth whose parent(s) work and have difficultly providing adequate transportation and supervision for their children 5 - 12 years of age. We provide the following services, transportation to and from school, quality supervision during the hours parent(s) are absent, a wide variety of recreational activities while children are enrolled in the program, and assistance with developing proper study habits.  Only schools that are located in the surrounding Capehart Housing area are currently accessible to our service (Two Springs, Fort Crook, Peter Sarpy, Bellevue, Bellaire, Leonard Lawrence, Fairview, LeMay, St. Mary’s Bellevue, Golden Hills, Anderson Grove).   A continuous waiting list is kept for parents to register for this program. Cost is based on the DoD uniformed fee structure. Field trips will be an additional charge. Nutritional meals and snacks are provided and professional staff conducts educational and entertaining programs. Hours are 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. For more info please call the Youth Programs at 294-5152.
